Anywhere Access Mobile - Frequently Asked Questions

1.   What is Anywhere Access Mobile?
Anywhere Access Mobile banking is a wireless Internet-based service that allows you to do your banking safely and conveniently with your web-enabled mobile phone. You can view your account balances, look up transactions, pay your bills, transfer funds, locate the nearest ATM or branch office and more.

2.  Do I need a special phone to use Anywhere Access Mobile banking?
No.  Mobile banking will work with most cell phones and with most carriers.

3.  Will I need to download software to use Anywhere Access Mobile?
No.  This free service does not require downloads of any kind.  You simply need to know the this special URL:  https://mobile.nmefcu.org

4.  What do I need to do to start using Anywhere Access Mobile?
You first must be enrolled in Internet Banking at our website, www.nmefcu.org, and you must have a cell phone or other wireless device that can access the Internet.

5.  What can I expect when I log onto Anywhere Access Mobile?
Your mobile banking experience should be very similar to your online banking experience at your Credit Union.  After entering your member number and password, you will see the normal security questions associated with New Mexico Educators Federal Credit Union enhanced security for Internet banking.  You will need to answer these questions to access your account information.

6.  How do I access Anywhere Access Mobile?
Simply enter this special mobile banking URL – https://mobile.nmefcu.org – into the browser of your web-enabled wireless device, and then log in using your member number and password.  After you sign in successfully, you can select the actions you want to perform from the main menu.  To save time on future visits, add https://mobile.nmefcu.org to the favorites list on your phone’s web browser just as you would on your computer.

7.  Which mobile devices are supported for Anywhere Access Mobile service?
You can reach Anywhere Access Mobile from any Internet-enabled mobile phone, PalmOne OS device, Pocket PC, Apple iPhone device or RIM Blackberry device.

8.  How do I know if my phone is web-enabled?
If you have a MiniBrowser, MicroBrowser or Wireless Web on your phone’s main menu, then it is web-enabled. Contact your mobile phone carrier to confirm that your phone is web-enabled and that the service is activated.

9.  How does Anywhere Access Access Mobile handle security?
Our mobile banking service is encrypted using the Wireless Transport Layer Security (WTLS) protocol, which provides the highest level of security available today. Additionally, all data that passes between the wireless gateway is encrypted using the Secure Socket Layer (SSL) layer.

10.  Is there a fee for using Anywhere Access Mobile?
No. Our mobile banking service is free of charge.  However, contact your cell phone carrier to identify any charges that may apply to web browser usage on your cell phone.

11. What account services does Anywhere Access Mobile include?
With Anywhere Access Mobile, you can do any of the following:
