HOW IT WORKS

Community Rewards is available with any New Mexico Educators Federal Credit Union personal checking account. To participate, enroll online today,visit any of our 16 branch offices or call our Anywhere Advisors at 889-7755 (800-347-2838 from outside the Albuquerque area).

Here's an overview of the Community Rewards Program:

A program year runs July through June. You can enroll online, by phone or at any of our 16 branch offices.
Select a Community: Albuquerque Belen, Bernalillo, Los Lunas, Moriarty, Rio Rancho, Santa Fe, Socorro or Taos.
Select one Category: Education, Healthcare, The Arts, Environment and Wildlife, or Community Support.
Once you're enrolled in the Community Rewards Program, your New Mexico Educators Federal Credit Union Visa® Check Card will have this added feature: every signature-based purchase you make (processed as a "credit" transaction) will earn you a 0.25% reward from your Credit Union. There's no limit to the cash rewards you can personally earn during a program year.
Each year, at the end of July, New Mexico Educators will deposit the total cash rewards you earned for the previous program year in your checking account.
As part of our annual community support, New Mexico Educators Federal Credit Union will match the cash rewards members have earned to support our communities up to $500,000.
You can track your Community Rewards and personal cash rewards status at any time by viewing your monthly statements from Internet Banking, emailing us at info@nmefcu.org, or calling our Anywhere Advisors at 889-7755 (800-347-2838 from outside the Albuquerque area).
On July 1, a new program year begins and you will automatically continue in the program. If you wish, between July 15 and August 15, you may change your designated Community and/or Category for the upcoming program year.

Example of How the Community Rewards Program Works

If you make $10,000 in qualifying purchases during a Community Rewards program year, you'll receive a cash reward of $25 in your checking account. Then, New Mexico Educators Federal Credit Union will match that amount and send $25 to the Community and Category you designated.
