Message to our Members: Do not respond to text messages claiming to be from Guadalupe Credit Union.
OVERVIEW: Santa Fe's Guadalupe Credit Union reports two similar texts are now circulating in New Mexico alleging to be from Guadalupe Credit Union.
The text message alerts the recipient that their account is limited and will be closed. They are instructed to call a phone number out of state. Once the number is called, an automated recording requests the 16 digit account code, expiration date, and PIN number.
The texts are fraudulent. Guadalupe Credit Union asks their credit union members to report receipt of this type of text message to 505-982-8942. Anyone receiving the text who is not a member of Guadalupe Credit Union should report to it their financial institution.
