 "IMAGING" ATMs MAKE DEPOSITS EASIER

The CU Anytime Network, jointly owned by New Mexico Educators Federal Credit Union and other credit unions in the state, was the first to bring a new level of ATM convenience to New Mexico. Their sophisticated "imaging ATMs" started being installed in 2005. Today, 61 of the CU Anytime ATMs in New Mexico are imaging units.

Imaging ATMs accept deposits and dispense cash just like regular automated teller machines but offer you these important additional benefits.
  • No deposit envelope is required so you save one extra step.
  • You receive a proof-positive receipt for all checks you deposit (with their account information blacked out for added security).
  • You see an instant deposit verification on the display screen before concluding your transaction.
  • The math calculations are done for you -- all deposits (checks and/or cash) are totaled on your receipt.

Prompt messages are displayed on the video screen at imaging ATMs to guide you through these functions:

Deposit
  • Be sure to endorse your checks for deposit, then insert them one at a time into the check acceptor. Each check will be shown as one transaction on your monthly statement.
  • You can insert cash (up to 40 bills at one time -- no coins) into the cash acceptor. You don't have to sort your cash by denomination before inserting it. The ATM will count and total your deposit for you. And if you don't agree with the total displayed on the screen, all your bills will be returned to you.

Verify
  • The ATM's video screen will display each check you inserted for verification.
  • The ATM sorts and counts your inserted cash and then displays the total on the screen.

Photo Receipt
The ATM will give you a final receipt with photos of each deposited check and a detail of the cash you deposited broken down by denomination.
